Job Description: BlackBerry’s content marketing team is hiring a social media manager to oversee BlackBerry’s large, diverse set of social channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and more, with a combined audience of 35 million followers.You would join a small, hard-working team with broad skills, an agile, DIY mindset, and the eagerness to have a massive impact and tell the story of the new BlackBerry: a leading provider of software solutions that secure, connect and mobilize the Enterprise of Things.

The Job

  • Write for, monitor, and analyze multiple social channels
  • Generate ideas for and execute creation of high-impact social assets, such as SlideShares, photos, videos, and more
  • Collaborate closely with PR and digital marketing teams, as well as other stakeholders in product marketing and management

Essential Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in social media
  • Strong, witty writer and editor with knowledge of Associated Press style
  • Experience in online social publishing and analytic tools such as SocialStudio, Bit.ly, and similar
  • Knowledge of photography, photo editing and design (Adobe Illustrator)
  • Strong interpersonal, multi-tasking and organization skills, a collaborative nature, and the ability to work in a cross-functional environment
  • Self-starter with a DIY mentality and grace under (deadline) pressure

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of enterprise software industry
  • Experience working for a large organization
  • Prior experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role
