Join the Silicon Valley Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) for our next Inside the Newsroom event at Baidu’s autonomous driving facility in Sunnyvale.

The technological advancements within the autonomous driving industry have dominated the media landscape in recent years. Today, the algorithms are better at recognizing objects and planning the right paths for cars, computers are more powerful than ever before at making sense of troves of data from sensors, and the instances of human drivers needing to take over a vehicle from autonomous mode are becoming fewer and fewer.

Next month, California is set to issue the first permit that would allow companies to test autonomous vehicles on public roads without human backup drivers. The deployment of self-driving vehicles is imminent. The question remains, however: when will self-driving vehicles actually be a part of daily life?

Join us for a lively discussion with the Bay Area’s premier self-driving journalists who are at the forefront covering this transformative technology. Hear their take on the timelines for self-driving car commercialization, the challenges ahead and how our lives will change when self-driving vehicles actually become the new norm.
